Below is a cover letter for men concerning this "courtship" ministry. Read this first. The proper "form" will be linked at the bottom of this page.

Please use the links below to request the required information forms to print out and return by s mail. This is a "one man operation", along with my wife, and considering the other requirements on our time, an e mail request may take a while to be answered.

Dear Friends:

Welcome to christiancourtship.us, a ministry designed to assist in finding a godly mate for you or for your children, if you are a parent. The "candidate" should fill out the appropriate form found on the link below, and forward it to us by s mail.

We believe it is God's design for men and women to marry, the husband and wife having been given the "dominion mandate" by the Lord. (Genesis 1:27, 28, 2:18-24.) Scripture says when a man finds a good wife finds a good thing, and obtains favour of the Lord. Scripture does not say that about a good job nor about anything else. In addition, a godly wife is beyond any value that can be named. (Proverbs 18:22, 19:14, 31:10.)

We covenant to pray with you in your search for a godly mate, and will do all we can to help you. However, it is God who provides a mate, and we do not guarantee to even provide a good contact. It may take as long as a year for us to provide a suitable contact. (We assume you have read our "courtship" article at the opening of this site.)

An application fee of $50 must accompany this form. (If two or more applicants are from the same family, the first will be $50, and the rest will be $25 each. PO Money Order, please.) If we fail to provide a good contact within a year, the application fee will be refunded.

Moreover, upon engagement, the man will pay us $200. If the engagement is broken off by the woman, the $200 will be refunded.

Fees, an explanation: "If this is a ministry, then why the fees?" The application fee is to pay for the contact, research and maintaining the files in this ministry, which will be no easy task considering the number of questions. Moreover, in Scripture, the man was required to purchase a wife, i.e., the dowery. On a more practical level: Bettie and I have each been in the ministry for around 30 years. Over the years, we, as have other pastors, have found that if something does not cost, it is not properly appreciated. (2 Sam 24:24, Luke 14:28.) Thus, the cost will separate the curious from the serious enquiries. We are sure that neither the seeking man nor the seeking lady is looking for one who might not be serious about the whole matter, and money is a good way to reveal the truth. The income will be used to further the Lord's work, particularly this ministry.
