The 9 Assumptions of Modern Schooling
By: Peter Kershaw
Persecution of Christians around the world is at an historic
and all-time high. While there is great cause for concern for
their plight, one thing we can be quite confident of is that the
Christian religion will live on. Christianity has outlived every
tyrannical regime, stretching from the Roman Empire, to the Soviet
Union. It will also outlive the murderous Islamic regime of Sudan,
and the totalitarian Communist oligarchy of China.
History has repeatedly shown that brutally attacking the Christian,
whether through imprisonment, torture, or execution, has never
served to undermine faith. Persecution only serves to strengthen
the Christian faith.
Every time in history, and in every culture, when Christianity
has been assailed, the faith of its victims is bolstered, and
the gospel then spreads like a wild fire. A contemporary example
of this is China, where perhaps the greatest expansion of the
gospel in history is taking place, under the constant harassment
of a brutal Communist regime.
Modern enemies of the church are not altogether ignorant of this
phenomena, and at least some have recognized that much more effective
means are available for curtailing the expansion of Christ's kingdom. In
his seminal treatise on the political doctrine of the separation
of government powers, The Spirit Of the Laws (1748), Montesquieu
notes:
Therefore, one does not succeed in detaching the soul
from religion by filling it with this great object, by bringing
it closer to the moment when it should find religion of greater
importance. A more certain way to attack religion is by favor,
by the comforts of life, by the hope of wealth; not by what reminds
one of it, but by what makes one forget it; not by what makes
one indignant, but by what makes men lukewarm, when other passions
act on our souls, and those which religion inspires are silent.
In the matter of changing religion, State favors are stronger
than penalties.
This is precisely the formula that has been followed
by our own government, in recent years, as it grows ever more
hostile toward Christian values. Rather than attack Christianity
through various "penalties", the modern method is to
render the church "lukewarm" by doling out "State
favors." The most prominent of "favors" today is
the tax-exempt license. But in reality, the granting of a tax
exemption to the church is a monumental con job.
Churches are not merely "exempt" from taxation because
they make application to the IRS for that legal "privilege",
they are non-taxable because of the First Amendment. It's a matter
of jurisdiction. The government may only tax that which it has
jurisdiction over.
Interestingly enough, even the IRS acknowledges that churches
are tax-exempt and tax-deductible without ever applying for that
status. In their words, it's "automatic" (Pub. 557 and
IRC Sec. 508). Furthermore, contributions to churches are also
"automatically" tax deductible (Pub. 526). Why then
do churches subordinate themselves to the IRS, and thereby waive
many important constitutionally guaranteed rights? Why do they
agree to the numerous restrictions imposed on them by the 501c3
status? Certainly not because they were well informed. It only
happens out of ignorance.
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." (Hosea
4:6.)
Many a preacher is getting fed up with having their tax-exempt
status held over their head, and used as a mechanism for restricting
their speech. The 501c3 is a huge liability to all but the most
politically correct of churches.
Churches generally organize as 501c3 at the advice of their attorney;
but those who did so only got one side of the story. Just wait
until you hear "the rest of the story."

Everyone lately is complaining about the price of gasoline - and
with good reason. It is about 40 cents a gallon more than it should
be. Why? The news mafia tells us it is because the Arabs have
slowed the production of oil so as to jack the price up. But that
is not the real reason.
The simple and blunt truth is that we are paying about a dollar
a gallon more for gas than we should be paying. We are also paying
more than we should for just about everything in this country.
And the blame for all of it can be squarely placed upon the incompetence
and dishonesty of the U.S. government.
It all started on April 15, 1971 when the U.S. repudiated its
obligation to exchange Federal Reserve Notes for gold on the international
market. This repudiation of the gold standard created the spiraling
inflation that limited Jimmy Carter to one term in the White House.
Its greatest immediate effect was on the price of oil.
Did you know that the price of Arab oil has NOT changed since
1974? It has NOT. So why did we have the long gas lines in the
70's and why is the price of oil and gas so high in America today?
Because thanks to the dishonesty of the U.S. government, the Arabs
will NOT accept U.S. dollars as payment for their oil.
The following, from a Beirut newspaper, is a 9/4/73 quote from
then Libyan Premier Abdel Salam Julloud who said, "Libya
will no longer accept payment in U.S. dollars. The dollar has
lost its value and we want a currency that is convertible to gold."
In December of 1993 the Shah of Iran was quoted as saying, "Why
would we hoard non-gold based paper money in banks if inflation
makes them worthless?"
WE THE PEOPLE should be asking our government EXACTLY the same
question!
On December 12, 1974 the price of Arab oil was $10.73 a barrel,
therefore, one once of gold on that day would have purchased 16.75
barrels of oil. On April 24, 1992 Arab oil sold for $20.11 per
barrel and gold was $338.70 per troy oz. Thus, one once of gold
STILL bought 16.75 barrels of oil. It just took more U.S. dollars.
Any inflation in the price of oil will effect EVERY enterprise
that consumes oil and gas. Thus, the transportation and other
oil related costs of practically every good and service traded
and consumed in the American economy goes up because these higher
prices will ALWAYS be passed on to the consumer.
GOLD IS THE ONLY SOLUTION
If, as the constitution MANDATES, our money were coined by CONGRESS
in GOLD and SILVER, we would be able to buy a barrel of oil today
for exactly the SAME price (in U.S. dollars) that we bought a
barrel for in 1974. Also, if our money were LAWFUL money (as called
for in the constitution) as opposed to the illegal money that
the PRIVATELY OWNED Federal Reserve is passing off on us today,
we would be able to buy a house for what we could have bought
one for 75 years ago. For that matter, we would still be paying
pre-depression prices for everything!
When all of our money was either coined in or backed by gold and
silver (1776-1933), there was virtually NO inflation in this country
(the only exception being at the time of the Civil War). From
1933 (when FDR stopped backing bills in gold and silver) to 1964
inflation started a steady upward path. From 1965l(when Johnson
ordered that the U.S. mint CEASE minting coins in silver) to the
present day inflation has been on a RUN-AWAY SKYROCKETINGlSPIRAL.
Now, the 1997 U.S. dollar was worth about 3 cents in comparison
to the 1932 GOLD-backed U.S. dollar - which, by the way, was worth
EXACTLY the same as the 1832 dollar.
If our money is not returned to LAWFUL silver and gold ASAP, it
will, according to a chart on page 47 of economist Gene Edwards
book "Economic Doomsday," be absolutely WORTHLESS by
the year 2003.
You say it can't happen. History says you are wrong. EVERY nation
in history to have a paper currency not backed by Gold has suffered
ever upward inflation that rendered their paper currency WORTHLESS
within 70 years. The non-gold ILLEGALLY printed (in violation
of the constitution) U.S. Federal Reserve Note is simply repeating
history. We have 3 years folks!

As I have worked to change my diet, I have found that we seem to be caught in the true proverb: The love of money is the root of all evil. So I present the following for your consideration.
MEDICAL JOURNALS AND MAJOR INSTITUTIONS REPORT...
Environmental pollution, overuse of antibiotics and the radical
decline in the nutritional value of overprocessed and fast foods
have led to a significant weakening of the human body's ability
to fight off infectious diseases. The Immune System is our only
natural defense against microscopic invaders including bacteria,
viruses, fungi, and many forms of cell mutations including Cancer.
Due to environmental trauma, stress, "super-bugs", poor
nutrition and other "modern day" conditions, the human
immune system is losing its ability to protect the body. The fight
to survive is ON and by all clinical accounts ...We are losing
the War. The devastating effects of Arthritis, Asthma, Allergies,
Fibromialgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and 75 other autoimmune
diseases are also on the rise and increasing in frequency across
an ever expanding global populace. This deadly phenomenon is spreading
in epidemic proportions. Something must be done to counter the
attack. The following statistics and excerpts are from major medical
institutions, journals and news sources from around the world.
They further substantiate the fact that without "targeted

US News and World Reports Cover Story 5/1/00
Allergy Epidemic
Everyone seems to be sneezing, and our lifestyle may be the culprit.
By Nancy Shute
Allergy, once the bane of a small, sniffling minority, is becoming
epidemic. In the United States, up to 30 percent of adults and
40 percent of children now suffer from allergic rhinitis, the
nasal congestion and itchy eyes commonly called hay fever. Many
are plagued by indoor mites and mold, and allergies to peanuts
and latex are increasing. "Allergy's on the rise, and it's
not clear why," says Ira Finegold, chief allergist at St.
Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York.
Many culprits have been proposed, including pollution and changes
in lifestyle. The most startling possibility: Allergy may be caused
by the success of civilization. As modern life has become more
hygienic, what with indoor plumbing, immunizations, and antibiotics,
the human immune system has run out of things to do. It attacks
allergens, and the body itself, as if it were bored.
Nowadays, the stuffy noses of rhinitis cost the United States
about $4.5 billion a year in doctor visits and medications, plus
3.8 million missed work and school days and untold misery.
The problem is not just pollen but a host of seemingly unrelated
triggers, including nuts, nickel, and latex. With people spending
90 percent of their time indoors, allergies to cats, molds, and
dust mites, microscopic creatures in the spider family that live
in pillows and mattresses and feast on flakes of shed human skin,
have become a serious health concern. Allergies to food and insect
stings can be fatal, and allergies are the main trigger for asthma,
which kills 5,000 people a year. It's no wonder that allergies
have become big business for drug companies, as well as for chic
shops and Internet sites hawking pillow covers and other allergy-control
paraphernalia.
Lifestyle problem?
"Something about the Western style of living has given rise
to more allergies," says Donald Leung, head of the pediatric
allergy division at National Jewish Medical and Research Center
in Denver. Thus the "hygiene hypothesis": the theory
that a squeaky-clean modern lifestyle somehow alters the immune
system and predisposes people to allergy. But that's not the only
notion in play. Other factors under investigation include changes
in diet, exposure to diesel particulates, a decline in breast-feeding,
less physical activity, and warmer, carpeted housing, as well
as secondhand cigarette smoke. All of which might interact with
the genes of susceptible people to produce allergy.
Allergy medications are also often hard to take. Over-the-counter
antihistamines cross into the brain, causing drowsiness and slowed
reactions; putting themselves and others at risk. Benadryl and
other older antihistamines have been implicated in fatal traffic
accidents.
In a survey earlier this year, 25 percent of rhinitis sufferers
said that prescription medications failed to relieve their symptoms,
and 20 percent said their doctor didn't take their condition seriously.
"Rhinitis is often viewed as a trivial nuisance disease,"
despite the fact that it can lead to ear and sinus infections
or pneumonia, says Mark Dykewicz, an associate professor of internal
medicine at St. Louis University who has worked on a nationwide
task force to improve management of allergy. Managed care also
plays a part, "Doctors are under a lot of pressure to treat
patients quickly," Dykewicz says.
The irony of suggesting that the cleanest lifestyle may not be
the healthiest isn't lost on the researchers. But it may be that
the human body just can't change as quickly as civilization. "We
have lived with these bugs forever, That's what we're adapted
to," says Fernando Martinet, director of respiratory sciences
at the University of Arizona. "We super-ultra-clean ourselves
in a manner that we've never done before."
Mayo Clinic, April 2000
Antibiotic Resistant Bacteria; superbugs thrive in hospitals.
Like characters in a bad horror movie, we had our backs turned
when bacteria that we thought we'd beaten rose up with new powers
and began to fight back.
We had grown confident in the power of our weapons, antibiotics,
and neglected to prepare for a counterattack.
These mighty bacteria that are able to fight off antibiotics have
certainly earned their popular name: superbugs.
On a global scale, modern medicine has inadvertently dealt a big
hand to the superbugs through overuse of antibiotics. According
to a 1998 report by the Institute of Medicine, up to 50 percent
of antibiotics are prescribed unnecessarily. Many patients compound
the problem.
A recent survey showed that half of patients do not finish their
prescribed course of antibiotics. Most respondents said they stopped
taking their drugs when they felt better. Here's the problem with
such habits: An abbreviated course of antibiotics often wipes
out only the most vulnerable bacteria while allowing resistant
bacteria to survive and prosper. Penicillin was discovered in
the 1940s. It was followed in quick succession by hundreds of
other antibiotics, creating an arsenal of drugs that offered unprecedented
control over bacterial infections. However, within just a few
years of the introduction and use of antibiotics, a troubling
pattern emerged. Bacteria frequently treated with the same antibiotic
would eventually develop resistance to the drug. Another antibiotic
would then have to be used, until the bug learned to resist that
drug, too.
Hospitals are particularly fertile breeding grounds for superbugs.
Confined populations of sick people, many with weakened immune
systems, create bacteria-friendly environments. The Centers for
Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that more than
2 million Americans develop hospital-acquired (nosocomial) infections
each year, and between 60,000 and 80,000 of those people die.
Rodney L. Thompson, M.D., an infectious disease specialist at
Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minn.: "Patients with suppressed
immune systems have a higher risk [of being infected]. The relatively
well person & has a low risk." Staphylococcus aureus
and Staph (staphylococci) are the No. 1 cause of hospital-acquired
infections. These bacteria normally live on our skin and in our
noses, and are relatively harmless. When staph enters the bloodstream,
however, it can cause serious disease, including blood infections,
heart valve infections, surgical-wound infections and pneumonia.
Many new treatments for resistant bacteria are on the horizon.
Within a decade, the landscape likely will have changed dramatically.
However, as we wait for new treatments to become available, it
will continue to be challenging for doctors to manage drug-resistant
bacteria.
Australian Broadcasting Corporation 1999
How close are we to a nightmarish return to a pre-antibiotic era?
The tide has turned in our war against bacteria. Over-use of antibiotics
has allowed bacteria to evolve new strains - 'superbugs' - that
are resistant to many of the standard drugs, such as the first
antibiotic, penicillin. In 1992 alone, antibiotic-resistant bacteria
led to 13,300 hospital deaths in the USA. So physicians and biologists
welcome any new addition to the armory in this arms race against
the superbugs. [Nature Science Update, January 2000]
In recent years, bacteria or, superbugs, have adapted to resist
multiple antibiotics including the last-line, drugs. Probably
the most common bacterium is Escherichia coli, commonly known
as E-coli. It can cause intestinal problems, colitis, or, urinary
and genital tract infections. Its resistance is very high and
getting worse.
"Overall, there are almost no bacteria where there is not
resistance to more antibiotics then there were 10 or 15 years
ago," says Associate Professor Peter Collignon, Director
of Infectious Diseases and Microbiology at the Canberra Hospital,
Australian Capital Territory.
Miscellaneous Comments
Resistance [in bacteria] is "a big problem and growing,"
says Linda Tollefson, director of surveillance and compliance
in FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine. "You're dealing
with living microbes that have shown an incredible ability to
accommodate antibiotics and come out winning. We have no idea
what they are going to do next. Our fear is that we're seeing
the tip of the iceberg."
Experts say that doctors are sometimes quick to prescribe antibiotics
for all sorts of symptoms, even though antibiotics work only against
bacterial infections, not viruses such as the flu or the common
cold. More than 50 million of the 150 million antibiotic prescriptions
written each year for patients outside of hospitals are unnecessary,
according to a recent CDC study.
January 28,1999 TIMES (London)
Scientists are losing war on superbugs
SCIENTISTS are losing the war against superbugs, an Oxford scientist
said last night. New forms of highly evolved bacteria & can
defy every known antibiotic. Dr. Martin Westwell delivered the
stark warning in the first of a new series of Royal Institution
lectures, sponsored by The Times.
Dr. Westwell explained that current strains of bacteria had evolved
chemical tricks to outwit even the most powerful drugs. (This)
would be a public health disaster ...Bacteria typically evolve
resistance to any drug within about four years of its introduction.
Environmental Health Perspectives
Volume 103, Number 3 March 1995
According to Michael Luster, head of the Environmental Immunology
and Neurobiology Section of the NIEHS, age, genetics, preexisting
disease, lifestyle, diet, drugs, or stress may multiply the effects
of chemical exposures to further challenge immune function and
increase the chance of disease.
It is thought that some immunologic disorders surface even under
ordinary environmental conditions, while others appear only after
toxic challenges from the environment that act to invoke a previously
undetected genetic condition. Children and the elderly may be
especially susceptible to reductions in immune function.
It is well known that the developing immune system is vulnerable
to chemical injury. Infants are born with only passive immunity;
that is, they are protected for a short period by maternal antibodies
that they receive through the placenta and later from breast milk.
Many scientists say that exposure to certain chemicals can have
a significant effect on immune function.
Studies have shown that chemical exposures can affect immunity
by: causing overactive immune reactions (such as allergies), autoimmunity,
in which immune cells attack self; or by causing immunodepression
in which there is a reduction in the responses of the immune system.
Allergies: 35 million Americans suffer from allergies,
of which 2-5% are due to occupational chemical exposure. In some
individuals, certain substances can aggravate the immune system
and cause it to overreact. According to the latest available statistics
from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases:
Estimates suggest that allergies affect as many as 40 to 50 million
people in the US.
Pollen allergy (hay fever) affects nearly 9.3 percent of the people
in the US, not including those with asthma. Allergies were the
reason for 7.6 million office visits to physicians in 1992. Chronic
sinusitis, sometimes caused by allergies, affects nearly 35 million
people in the US.
Diabetes: According to the National Institute
of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) and the
American Diabetes Association, diabetes: Affects an estimated
15.7 million people in the United States (90 to 95 percent have
type 2 diabetes) - 10.3 million have been diagnosed, but 5.4 million
are unaware they have the disease. Those affected include:
8.1 million women. 7.5 million men. 123,000
children under age 20. 6.3 million adults over 65 (18.4
percent of the US population). 1.2 million Mexican Americans
(10.6 percent of all Mexican Americans).
Was the seventh leading cause of death in 1996, and the sixth
leading cause of death from disease.Contributed to 193,140 deaths
in 1996, but is believed to be user-reported on death certificates
- both as a condition and a cause of death.Costs $44 billion annually
in direct medical costs.Costs $54 billion annually in indirect
costs (loss of work, disability, loss of life).
Asthma: According to the latest available statistics
from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases:
From 1990 to 1994, the number of people with self-reported asthma
in the US increased from 10.4 million to 14.6 million.Asthma affected
an estimated 4.8 million US children (under age 18) in 1994.Asthmatic
youngsters under age 15 underwent 159,000 hospitalizations in
1993, with an average length of stay of 3.4 days.Males went 1.5
times at greater risk than females.Asthma treatment cost an estimated
$6.2 billion in 1990, including direct and indirect expenditures.Forty-three
percent of that total cost was associated with emergency room
use, hospitalization, and death. Loss of school days, alone, caused
decreased productivity that cost an estimated $1 billion.
Additional Important Facts:
Among the four top causes of death in the United States one finds
heart disease, cancer and infectious diseases. Humans are susceptible
to disease because of poor immune function, stress, crowding,
exposure to chemicals and environmental pollutants, poor nutrition,
and increased exposure to UV radiation.
Resistance of microbes to antimicrobial drugs interferes with
the control of infections and allows infection of disease to others.
Environmental:
In the upcoming budget year 2001, a major initiative advocated
by the American Cancer Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics
will result in unprecedented funding to explore the largely unknown
environmental causes of diseases.
Cancer:
Colorectal cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related
deaths in the United States. Estimates show that physicians will
diagnose approximately 130,000 new cases of colorectal cancer
this year, and, of those persons diagnosed, more than 56,000 will
die from the disease. The number of new cancer cases has steadily
increased over the past 20 years. For white males, cancers have
increased from an estimated 364 new cases/100,000 population in
1973 to 462 new cases/100,000 population in1994; white females
show an increase from 295 new cases/100,000 population in 1973
to 347 new cases/100,000 population in 1994.Patients with cancer
are surviving longer. These increases have been accompanied by
increased use of chemotherapy and treatments that are toxic to
the patients, still-healthy cells.
Infectious Diseases:
Harvard University, Johns Hopkins University, WHO, and other organizations
are involved in a 3-5 year program to investigate the increasing
problems associated with resistance to the commonly used antibiotics.
The death rate from infectious disease have risen sharply over
the past decade in the United States and globally. "Emerging
infectious diseases present one of the most significant health
and security challenges facing the global community," Vice
President Gore said during remarks to the annual meeting of the
National Council for International Health in Crystal City, Virginia.
Food Borne Diseases:
An estimated 76 million cases of food ome disease occur each year
in the United States. CDC estimates that there are 323,000 hospitalizations
and 5,000 deaths related to food borne diseases each year. Known
pathogens only account for an estimated 14 million illnesses,
60,000 hospitalizations, and 1,800 deaths while unknown agents
account for the remaining 62 million illnesses, 265,000 hospitalizations,
and 3,200 deaths. More than 200 known diseases are transmitted
through food. The causes of food borne illness include bacteria,
viruses, parasites, toxins, metals, and other inorganic toxins.
38.3 million of these 211 million episodes of gastroenteritis
are attributable to known pathogens, the rest to unknown agents.
In 1997, in the United States, there were 1.4 million cases of
Salmonella poisoning, 185,000 cases of Staphylococcus food poisoning
[along with 1,200 deaths], 160,000 cases of E. coli infection
and at least 51,000 cases of Streptococcus food poisoning. [Scientists
think these numbers are underestimated 38 fold.]
38.3 million cases of acute gastroenteritis are caused by known
pathogens, and 13.6 million (36%) of these are attributable to
food borne transmission.
Among all illnesses attributable to food borne transmission, 30%
are caused by bacteria, 3% by parasites, and 67% by viruses.
Patients with underactive immune systems:
Advances in medical treatment have resulted in increasing numbers
of imminosuppressed patients (including patients undergoing organ
transplantation or cancer chemotherapy) and patients with serious
underlying chronic diseases. These patients are at increased risk
for infection with microorganisms that might otherwise not be
recognized or associated with serious illness.
The number of liver, heart, and lung transplants has increased
significantly. This, in turn, has resulted in higher numbers of
immunocompromised persons in the general population.
Digestive System Health:
Patients receiving chemotherapy or immunosuppressive agents are
also treated with antibiotics, which have a major influence on
the bacteria of the gut. These imbalances of gut ecology predispose
the patient to colonization and infection with other microorganisms,
some of which can cause severe disease.
Many chemotherapeutic agents have direct toxicity for the gut
wall. This increases the susceptibility of these patients to bloodstream
infections with the many of the microorganisms that live in the
gut.
Persons who are immunosuppressed or have serious underlying illness
are much more susceptible to colonization and infection with the
organism and can transfer their infections to other immunosuppressed
patients in the same unit.
Aging of the Population:
The absolute number and the proportion of the elderly in the United
States are rapidly increasing. The elderly are at increased risk
for death from food borne and diarrheal disease. Between 1979
and 1987, 28,538 persons in the United State had diarrhea as an
immediate or underlying cause of death; 51% of these persons were
more than 74 years of age and 27% were age 55 to 74.
Incidence of diarrhea appears to be higher among the elderly.
Aging results in a slow down of the growth of the immune cells
that are found in the digestive system, leaving them more susceptible
to infection.
Those residing in long-term care facilities are at major risk
for diarrheal death. The communal living environment creates an
environment in which gut and food bome pathogens are easily spread.
For example there is an increase in the frequency of Salmonella
and E. coli in many of these patients.
Travel:
Travel is a potent force in causing and spreading disease. The
current volume, speed, and reach of travel are unprecedented permitting
more of us to get ill with [to us] . new. foreign agents.
Diabetes:
Diabetes and its complications are the leading causes of death
in the United States. U.S. health expenditures for diabetics are
estimated at $98 billion (as of May 1998).
THE SOLUTION
It Starts With EgcelTM and BioChoice® Immune Support.
EgcelTM is a dry egg powder and the essential ingredient
of BioChoice® Immune Support Dietary Supplement drink mix.
EgcelTM contains active antibodies to over two dozen
enteric bacteria. In addition, EgcelTM contains immune
"co-factors," also referred to as immunoregulatory factors,
that are low molecular weight bioactive compounds generated during
the DCV immunization process.
Specific antibodies and other immune co-factors enhance the effectiveness
of the immune system. The ingestion of passively transferred immune
co-factors can help provide protection from exposure to foreign
agents.
Suggested Benefits - BioChoice® containing EgcelTM
is a dietary supplement with the following structure function
claims:
Balances and supports the immune system
Helps maintain cardiovascular function and a healthy circulatory
system
Helps maintain digestive tract health
Helps modulate auto-immune responses of the body
Helps maintain flexible and healthy joints
High levels of immunoglobulins occurring naturally in eggs and
egg products are a common source of protein in human diets. Immune
eggs are a convenient and economical source of specific antibodies
and other immune cofactors.
Discussion -There is a body of published work suggesting that
immunizing farm animals such as hens with inactivated multi-valent
bacterial vaccines results in the production of eggs that contain
antibodies against the specific vaccinating antigens, along with
physiologically active, small molecular weight products that appear
to have immunoregulatory function. (1-12).
Protection against disease by oral administration of antibodies
- Oral consumption of immune eggs or milk containing antibodies
can protect against the specific organisms) for which the hen
or cow was vaccinated (13-20).
Eggs as a natural source of immune cofactors - Just as immune
protection is transferred in utero or passively by lactating mammals
via colostrum in mammals, birds passively transfer protection
to their young by secreting antibodies and immune co-factors into
their eggs. The transfer of avian antibodies from the hen's serum
to the egg and from the egg to the chick is analogous to cross-placental
transfer of IgG from the mammalian mother to its offspring.
Both eggs and milk contain naturally occurring antibodies. However,
pound for pound, antibody levels in eggs are significantly higher
than in serum or milk (18-22). This is not unexpected, since mammals
have several weeks or months to passively transfer immune factors,
while birds have only a single opportunity to transfer all necessary
survival components to its offspring. Thus, the egg serves as
a concentrated source of immune products.
DCV Eggs obtained by inoculation of hens - It is commonly known
that commercially available chickens are immunized at birth to
protect them from avian diseases. The only difference between
commercial eggs and DCV eggs, is that the latter are from chickens
that have received additional vaccinations consisting of >24
inactivated bacteria of human interest. Some of the organisms
used in the vaccine are: specific coliforms, >6 species of
Streptococci, Staphylococcus epidermidis and simulans, Pseudomonas
aeruginose, andHaemophillus influenzae.
(Note: In the DCV vaccination program, only the
hens that lay the eggs are vaccinated. Only antibody and immune
co-factors are passively transferred to the egg by the inoculated
hens. No vaccine components are introduced into the eggs themselves;
only the eggs are consumed, not the hens.)
How EgcelTM is obtained - Weeks after vaccination,
and subject to acceptable QA/QC controls, eggs are collected from
the inoculated chicken flocks. The eggs are then washed and broken,
and the yolk and egg whites are dried to a fine protein powder.
The eggs are processed under good manufacturing practices (GMP)
in a USDA inspected facility. After processing, they are shipped
as a dried egg powder (EgcelTM).
BioChoice® Description - BioChoice® is a dietary supplement
containing DCV egg powder, EgcelTM, in conjunction
with soy and milk proteins, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, dietary
fiber, and flavorants.
Nutritive significance - BioChoice® contains polyclonal antibodies
to a wide variety of enteric pathogens and other ingested bacteria.
It also contains immune co-factors and 100% of the RDA of antioxidant
vitamins A, C, D, E, and K.
Metabolism and elimination - Clinical studies indicate there is
no evidence of antibody absorption. There is possibly degradation
of ingested antibodies, and clinical studies document the excretion
of active antibodies.
Contraindications - Individuals with egg intolerance or egg allergies
should not consume this product. The EgcelTM ingredient was safety
tested and GRAS self-affirmed by an Expert Panel convened by DCV,
which consisted of physicians, scientists, and university professors.

Dear Editors
Recently I bought a cooking oil that's new to our supermarkets,
Canola Oil. I tried it because the label assured me it was lowest
in "bad" fats. However, when I had used half the bottle,
I concluded that the label told me surprisingly little else and
I started to wonder: where does canola oil come from? Olive oil
comes from olives, peanut oil from peanuts, sunflower oil from
sunflowers; but what is a canola? There was nothing on the label
to enlighten me, which I thought odd. So, I did some investigating
on the Internet. There are plenty of official Canola sites lauding
this new "wonder" oil with all its low-fat health benefits.
It an farmers grow genetically engineered rapeseed and manufacturers
use its oil (canola) in thousands of processed foods, with the
blessings of Canadian and US government watchdog agencies. The
canola supporting websites say that canola is safe to use. They
admit it was developed from the rapeseed, but insist that through
genetic engineering it is no longer rapeseed, but "canola"
instead.
Except canola means "Canadian oil"; and the plant is
still a rape plant, albeit genetically modified. The new name
provides perfect cover for commercial interests wanting to make*
millions.* Look at the ingredients list on labels.* Apparently
peanut oil is* being replaced with rape oil.
You'll find it in an alarming number of processed foods.* There's
more, but to conclude: rape oil was the source of the chemical
warfare agent mustard gas, which was banned after blistering the
lungs and skins of hundred of thousands of soldiers and civilians
during W.W.I.* Recent French reports indicate that it was again
in use during the Gulf War.
Check products for ingredients. If the label says, "may contain
the following" and lists canola oil, you know it contains
canola oil because it is the cheapest oil and the Canadian government
subsidizes it to industries involved in food processing.
I don't know what you'll be cooking with tonight, but I'll be
using olive oil and old-fashioned butter, from a genetically unmodified
cow.
Here is more information.......... Canola oil from the rape seed,
referred to as the Canadian oil because Canada is mainly responsible
for it being marketed in the USA.* The Canadian government and
industry paid our Federal Food and Drug Administration (FDA) $50
million dollars to have canola oil placed on the (GRAS) List,
"Generally Recognized As Safe". Thus a new industry
was created. Laws were enacted affecting international trade,
commerce, and traditional diets. Studies with lab. animals were
disastrous. Rats developed fatty degeneration of heart, kidney,
adrenals, and thyroid gland. When canola oil was withdrawn from
their diets, the deposits dissolved but scar tissue remained on
all vital organs. No studies on humans were made before money
was spent to promote Canola oil in the USA. Adrenoleukodystrophy
(ALD) is a rare fatal degenerative disease caused by a build up
long-chain fatty acids (c22 to c28) which destroys the myelin
(protective sheath) of the nerves. Canola oil is a very long chain
fatty acid oil (c22). Those who will defend canola oil say that
the Chinese and Indians have used it for centuries with no effect,
however it was in an unrefined form ( taken from FATS THAT HEAL
AND FATS THAT KILL by Udo Erasmus). My cholesterol level was 150.
After a year using Canola oil I tested 260. I switched back to
pure olive oil and it has taken 5 years to get it down to 160.*
Thus began this project to find answers since most Doctors will
say that Canola oil is O.K.
My sister spilled Canola oil on a piece of fabric, after 5 pre-treatings
and harsh washings, the oil spot still showed. She stopped using
Canola oil, wondering what it did to our insides if it could not
be removed from cloth easily. Our Father bred birds, always checking
labels to insure there was no rape seed in their food. He said,
"The birds will eat it, but they do not live very long.".
A friend, who worked for only 9 mo. as a quality control taster
at an apple-chip factory where Canola oil was used exclusively
for frying, developed numerous health problems. These included
loose teeth & gum disease; numb hands and feet; swollen arms
and legs upon rising in the morning; extreme joint pain especially
in hands, cloudy vision, constipation with stools like black marbles,
hearing loss; skin tears from being bumped; lack of energy; hair
loss and heart pains. It has been five years since she has worked
there and still has some joint pain, gum disease, and numbness.
A fellow worker, about 30 years old, who ate very little product,
had a routine check up and found that his blood vessels were like
those of an 80 year old man. Two employees fed the waste product
to baby calves and their hair fell out. After removing the fried
apple chips from the diet their hair grew back in.
My daughter and her girls were telling jokes. Stephanie hit her
mom's arm with the back of a butter knife in a gesture, "Oh
mom" not hard enough to hurt. My daughters arm split open
like it was rotten. She called me to ask what could have caused
it. I said, "I'll bet anything that you are using Canola
oil". Sure enough, there was a big gallon jug in the pantry.
Rape seed oil is a penetrating oil, to be used in light industry,
not for human consumption. It contains a toxic substance. Even
after the processing to reduce the erucic acid content, it is
still a penetrating oil. We have found that it turns rancid very
fast. Also it leaves a residual rancid odor on clothing.
Rape seed oil used for stir-frying in China found to emit cancer
causing chemicals. (Rapeseed oil smoke causes lung cancer) Amal
Kumar Maj. The Wall Street Journal June 7, 1995 pB6(W) pB6 (E)
col 1(11 col in). Compiled by Darleen Bradley.
Canola oil is a health hazard to use as a cooking oil or salad
oil. It is not the healthy oil we thought it was. It is not fit
for human consumption, do not eat canola oil, it can hurt you.*
Polyunsaturated or not, this is a bad oil.

A short Bible Study
This chapter speaks of the woe coming against Israel of old
(Jerusalem) for rejecting God's word, and for its final rejection
of The Word, Christ Jesus. The Spirit tells us why and how the
woe came upon the Lord's people. This passage looks forward to
the final destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
V. 1, though there is really no definition of woe, this chapter
tells us that it will result in the destruction of the workers
of iniquity, though they claim to love God and to be his people.
1. filthy --MAURER translates from a different root, "rebellious," "contumacious." But the following term, "polluted," refers rather to her inward moral filth, in spite of her outward ceremonial purity [CALVIN].
oppressing --namely, the poor, weak, widows, orphans and strangers (#Jer 22:3). (JFB, Online Bible.)
The people were careful to have the proper outward appearance, yet despite their outward profession of godliness, they were oppressing those who were unable to defend themselves. Moreover, they were failing todeliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor -- that is, they were not standing up for those who found themselves under oppression. V. 2,
3. She is very provoking to her God, and in every respect walks contrary to him, #Zep 3:2. He had given his law, and spoken to her by his servants the prophets, telling her what was the good she should do and what the evil she should avoid; but she obeyed not his voice, nor made conscience of doing as he commanded her, in any thing. He had taken her under an excellent discipline, both of the word and of the rod; but she did not receive the instruction of the one nor the correction of the other, did not submit to God's will nor answer his end in either. He encouraged her to depend upon him, and his power and promise, for deliverance from evil and supply with good; but she trusted not in the Lord; her confidence was placed in her alliances with the nations more than in her covenant with God. He gave her tokens of his presence, and instituted ordinances of communion for her with himself; but she drew not near to her God, did not meet him where he appointed and where he promised to meet her. She stood at a distance, and said to the Almighty, Depart. (MH.)
First, she (God's people) refused to listen
to those who warned her of her sins.
Second, she received not correction -- that is,
"she received not doctrine." On the contrary; she slighted
and despised it, and rejected it with the utmost contempt."
(Gill) She rejected sound doctrine for silver and gold. (Zeph.
2:18.) Sad to say, her spiritual leaders (prophets, priests, 3:4)
led in the rejection.
Third, she trusted not in the Lord -- that is,
she followed the elders, trusting in the flesh and carnal privileges,
over faith in and obedience to The Word.
"Distrust in the Lord as if He were insufficient, is the
parent of all superstitions and wickednesses." (JFB)
He encouraged her to depend upon him, and his power and promise,
for deliverance from evil and supply with good; but she trusted
not in the Lord; her confidence was placed in her alliances with
the nations more than in her covenant with God. (MH)
Fourth, she drew not near to her God -- "she
drew not nigh to the worship of her God." (Gill) "Though
God was specially near to her (De 4:7) as "her God,"
yet she drew not near to Him, but gratuitously estranged herself
from Him. " (JFB.)
The Lord had been specially near to this people, yet they refused
to draw near in hearing and doing his word -- they refused to
be corrected by the word of God.
V. 3, rather than the civil authorities using the sword given
to them by the Lord against the oppressors, they were part of
the oppressors. (Pr. 28:15, Eze. 22:27, Am. 3:4, Mic. 2:2). Those
who were to provide justice were "rapacious and greedy,"
cruel and covetous. (MH.)
V. 4, Her prophets are light (reckless, frothy) and treacherous
(deceitful, proud boasters [Gill]) ... The Spirit paints the religious
leaders with a blacker brush than was used against the civil leaders.
Instead of protecting the Lord's flock from those who would oppress
them, they were part of the oppressors.
1) They pollute (prostitute, &c., e.g., Lev. 19:29) the sanctuary
-- they turn the house of the Lord into something for their own
glory, for their own use or self-indulgence.
2) They do violence to the law: "by not teaching it as they
should;" (Gill) "openly violating it; or straining it,
or secretly wresting and using its forms to wrong and violence..."
(Pusey, Barnes' Notes, Minor Prophets II, 279.) At they very least,
they strained the law of God to support what they desired to do.
More likely, however, they just ignored the law, and refused to
be held accountable to it, v. 2.
V. 5, the Lord is among them, and they boasted as much:
The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach
for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will
they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none
evil can come upon us. (Mic. 3:11)
They boasted of the Lord's presence among them, but they saw his
presence as protection from the results of their hardness against
his word. The Lord reminds them that He is among them, and He
knows very well what is taking place. Though He was near to them
to give mercy, his mercy was dependent upon repentance --- their
proper response to the warnings of his word, v. 2. So He was near
to them in judgment against their hardness of heart. "He
was near to punish, not to deliver; as a Judge, not as a Saviour."
(Pusey.)
He will not do iniquity: First, He will not overlook
what is taking place under the color of Christianity, v. 1.Second,
what He will do will be just. He will move justly in judgment
because those who should be doing justly will not, vv. 3, 4.
O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.
(Hos. 13:9.)
It is strange how God's people, as described in Zephaniah, expect
God to move in justice against the unsaved around them who will
not heed God's word, e.g., abortion and wicked rulers. Yet the
same people do not believe God will move against them for the
same hardness against God's word.
Every morning... God's judgment against sin is obvious every day,
but He people ignore it.
V. 6, God's attitude toward sin, i.e., hardness against his word,
v. 2, is clearly evident: "By the destruction of other nations
He shows that the Jews should have learned to fear God."
(Geneva) However, they were blinded by their own sin, their love
for gold and silver.
V. 7, Surely... they wilt receive instruction when they consider
what the prophets have said; when they consider what has happened
to those nations who have forgotten God, they will fear the Lord,
and will receive instruction so they can avoid what happened to
those of v. 6. One would think they would not want their dwelling
cut off, and would change. But they did not heed the warning.
(The context is Mt. 23:38, and the Lord's promise to visit Jerusalem
in destruction, as described in Mt. 24.)
Vv. 8-13.
1) v. 8, the Lord purposed to gather together those of v. 2 (his
people) hardened against his word. He was then going to pour out
his indignation and anger upon them. (Which He did, and destroyed
them with the Roman army.)
Notice here that no one can escape his movement against evil:
for all the earth...
2) vv. 9-11, his purpose of gathering them together was to purge
sin from among his people.
A) The hypocrite will be removed, i.e., those who claim to love
the Lord, yet reject his word. This particularly applies to the
leaders, vv. 3, 4. (The destruction of Jerusalem removed the religious
leaders who were against Christ. The Lord gathered them there
with the Passover. The old Israelite nation was never attacked
by an enemy during this period from the time the Passover started
until AD 70.)
B) V. 12, the liars and deceivers would be removed.
3) the remnant would unite in service to him alone.
Note that the ones who want truth cannot fellowship with the deceitful.
Vv. 14-20.
The sin --- that is, the sinners of vv. 2-4, is purged, and now
the Lord dwells in the midst of the remnant. He promises to undo
the effects of the sin (v. 19) and turn the reproach into praise
(v. 20). This promise obviously looks forward to the church, the
key being v. 16 and Hebrews 12:12.
Lighten up a little
Recently I was honored to be selected as a judge at a chili
cook-off because no one else wanted to do it. The original person
called in sick at the last moment, and I happened to be standing
there at the judge's table asking directions to the beer wagon
when the call came.
I was assured by the other two judges, both native Texans, that
the chili wouldn't be all that spicy, and they told me I could
have free beer during the tasting, so I accepted.
Here are the scorecards from the event:
Chili #1: Mike's Maniac Mobster Monster Chili
JUDGE ONE: A little too heavy on tomato. Amusing kick.
JUDGE TWO: Nice, smooth tomato flavor. Very mild.
FRANK: Holy smokes, what is this stuff? You could remove dried
paint with it. Took me two beers to put the flames out. Hope that's
the worst one. These hicks are crazy.
Chili #2: Arthur's Afterburner Chili
JUDGE ONE: Smoky with a hint of pork. Slight Jalapeno tang.
JUDGE TWO: Exciting BBQ flavor; needs more peppers to be taken
seriously.
FRANK: Keep this out of reach of children! I'm not sure what I
am supposed to taste besides pain. I had to wave off two people
who wanted to give me the Heimlich maneuver. Shoved my way to
the front of the beer line.
Chili #3: Fred's Famous Burn Down the Barn Chili
JUDGE ONE: Excellent firehouse chili! Great kick. Needs more beans.
JUDGE TWO: A beanless chili. A bit salty; good use of red peppers.
FRANK: This has got to be a joke. Call the EPA; I've located a
uranium spill. My nose feels like I have been snorting Drano.
Everyone knows the routine by now and got out of my way so I could
make it to the beer wagon. Barmaid pounded me on the back; now
my backbone is in the front part of my chest.
Chili #4: Bubba's Black Magic
JUDGE ONE: Black bean chili with almost no spice. Disappointing.
JUDGE TWO: Hint of lime in the black beans. Good side dish for
fish or other mild foods; not much of a chili.
FRANK: I felt something scraping across my tongue, but was unable
to taste it. Sally, the barmaid, was standing behind me with fresh
refills so I wouldn't have to dash over to see her.
Chili #5: Linda's Legal Lip Remover
JUDGE ONE: Meaty, strong chili. Cayenne peppers freshly ground,
adding considerable kick. Very impressive.
JUDGE TWO: Chili using shredded beef; could use more tomato. Must
admit the cayenne peppers make a strong statement.
FRANK: My ears are ringing, and I can no longer focus my eyes.
I expelled gas and four people behind me needed paramedics. The
contestant seemed hurt when I told her that her chili had given
me brain damage. Sally saved my tongue by pouring beer directly
on it from a pitcher. Sort of irritates me that one of the other
judges asked me to stop screaming.
Chili #6: Vera's Very Vegetarian Variety
JUDGE ONE: Thin, yet bold vegetarian variety chili. Good balance
of spice and peppers.
JUDGE TWO: The best yet. Aggressive use of peppers, onions, and
garlic. Superb.
FRANK: My intestines are now a straight pipe filled with gaseous
flames. No one seems inclined to stand behind me except Sally.
Chili #7: Susan's Screaming Sensation Chili
JUDGE ONE: A mediocre chili with too much reliance on canned peppers.
JUDGE TWO: Ho hum. Tastes as if the chef threw in canned chili
peppers at the last moment. I should note that I am worried about
Judge No. 3. He appears to be in a bit of distress.
FRANK: You could put a grenade in my mouth and pull the pin, and
I wouldn't feel it. I've lost the sight in one eye, and the world
sounds like it is made of rushing water. My clothes are covered
with chili that slid unnoticed out of my mouth at some point.
Good! At autopsy they'll know what killed me. I've decided to
stop breathing: It's too painful, and I'm not getting any oxygen
anyway. If I need air, I'll just suck it in through the 4-inch
hole in my stomach.
Chili #8: Helen's Mount St. Chili
JUDGE ONE: A perfect ending. This is a nice blended chili, safe
for all; not too bold but spicy enough to declare its existence.
JUDGE TWO: This final entry is a good, balanced chili, neither
mild nor hot. Sorry to see that most of it was lost when Judge
Number 3 fell and pulled the chili pot on top of himself.
FRANK: (Editor's note: Frank was unable to report.)
