Archbishop makes desperate plea for Assyrian Christians
'I will die, but I will not abandon my flock'
Published: 03/14/2015 at 6:58 PM
The pleas are getting louder and more desperate from Middle Eastern Christians whose ancient homelands stand in the path of the rampaging Islamic caliphate ISIS.
The latest sign of desperation came in the voice of the Syrian archbishop, cracking with emotion and dismay as he described the plight of more than 200 Assyrian Christians kidnapped from their homes by ISIS in northeast Syria in late February near the Turkish border.
"Many were plucked from their beds at dawn," CBS News reported. "A man who refused to leave his home was set on fire along with his house."
ISIS is still holding as many as 220 of the Assyrians Christians, an indigenous people who trace their roots back to ancient Mesopotamia, where the Apostle Thomas brought the gospel in the first century. It was in Antioch, Syria, where followers of Jesus first called themselves "Christians."...

Coptic Christians attacked in Egypt
Muslims send clear warning: Don't build that church
A group of Coptic Christians related to the men beheaded by ISIS terrorists a month ago in Libya came under attack by Muslim radicals after they tried to build a new church in the Egyptian village of Al Our.
Al Our was where 13 of the 21 Christians beheaded in the mass murder on a Mediterranean beach had lived....

Note: The Egyptians today are not the Egyptians of NT times. Those people are known as Coptics. Today, the Arabians have taken over the nation. Coptic or Egyptian Christians are the oldest group of Christians in the world.

We are seeing a very heated Religious War taking place.
Middle East experts: It is a religious war
'They are attacking Christians, their goal is to eliminate Christianity'
Published: 02/26/2015 at 7:45 PM
President Obama spent days at a White House summit emphasizing the U.S. is not at war with Islam, that he wants to protect the Muslim population from being blamed for the acts of radical Muslims across the Mideast and that violence is done in the name of all religions, not just Islam.
But a number of Middle East experts contend it's clear that the motivation of the people who use the tactics of beheading, crucifixion, burning and slaughter to instill terror and take over territory in the name of Allah is religious. ...

Nun pleads for Christians raped, sold, killed by ISIS
Refugees live 'like animals' in camps
Published: 12/23/2014 at 8:13 PM
It is the season of "peace on Earth," but Sister Hatune Dogan has a chill in her spirit that could only be felt in a time of war.
The Orthodox Christian nun feels it with each new atrocity committed against the Yazidi and Christian minorities of Syria and Iraq. She feels it in the church burnings across Egypt and the slaughter of innocent children in Pakistan.
For this reason she brought a word of warning to Americans in a visit last week to Minnesota, where she spoke to several church groups.
Today's political climate draws her back to 1915 and her native Turkey, when her family experienced the cruelty of the Ottoman caliphate, which slaughtered 3 million Christians and reduced others to second-class status under subjugation, or "dhimmitude."...

5-year-old Christian boy cut in half by ISIS
'This little boy, he was called Andrew'

The images of atrocities by members of the Islamic State jihadist group, also known as ISIS, against their soldier and civilian enemies in Iraq and Syria have been have circulating for some time. There have been reports, many documented in images and even videos, of ISIS crucifixions, executions, mass burials and worse.
But now a flood of new reports and photographs reveal such horrors being inflicted on children.
One such report came from the Anglican Communion News Service, which said the 5-year-old son of a founder of Baghdad's Anglican church was "cut in half during an attack by the Islamic State."...

In face of beheading, Iraqi children proclaim love for Jesus

More than 250,000 Christians have fled Northern Iraq amidst ISIS persecution.

Young Christians in Iraq are taking a stand against the Islamic State (ISIS)-- even if it costs them their life.

When ISIS militants gave four Iraqi children the choice of converting to Islam or death by beheading, the children chose to follow Jesus, the Vicar of Baghdad, Canon Andrew White, stated in an interview with the Orthodox Christian Network.

"Islamic State turned up and said to the children, you say the words that you will follow Mohammed," White stated.
"The children, all under 15, four of them, said 'No, we love Yesua (the Iraqi name for Jesus), we have always loved Yesua, we have always followed Yesua, Yesua has always been with us.'"

Then once again, the ISIS militants forced the children to convert and yet again they refused. The terrorists decapitated all four children. ...

Kidnapped schoolgirls face Muslim torture
'The situation is so brutal and so desperate'
Published: 05/05/2014. This took place over a year ago, and no one cares even remembers these 300 Christian girls.
The leader of a radical Muslim movement in Nigeria is admitting his group abducted more than 300 Nigerian girls and now says he?s ready to sell them because he?s got plenty of buyers.
According to news reports, Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau confessed via video to the abductions three weeks ago because the girls were enrolled in Western education, which he deems as sinful.
However, the nightmare for the girls and their families is only getting worse. Two have died from snakebites and 20 more are ill. Of the 300, Nigeria?s police say 276 are still in captivity and 53 have escaped. Many of the Christians have been forced to convert to Islam, according to reports. ...

Sacred rage: U.N. rebuked for "apathy' toward slaughtered Christians
'It's time to call evil by its name: Islamic jihadists killing in name of their religion'
UNITED NATIONS ? Ambassadors, businessmen and religious leaders of all faiths gathered at the United Nations in New York on Friday for a high-level summit on the persecution of Christians around the world and the threat it poses to international peace and security.
Some 200 million Christians in 60 countries have been oppressed, abused or murdered solely because they are Christian. Fourteen of the world?s 15 most repressive countries for Christians are Muslim countries. Churches are bombed, often while worshipers are inside. Christians are kidnapped, brutalized, raped, sold into sex slavery, mutilated, shot, beheaded or burned alive. ...

[We keep hearing the term ?radical? to describe those who are simply following and obeying their religion. The average Muslim, in order to obey his faith, must convert the ?unbelievers? to Islam, or kill them. It was average Muslims who threw the 12 Christians overboard. The face of Mohammedism has always been against followers of Christ, persecution and bloodshed. Either say ?Allah is God, and Mohammed is his prophet?, or death. Everyone wants to separate Islam from what it is. Bloody warfare against Christ.]

ISIS Brings Waves of Terror to Christians

The beach is usually a tranquil scene, but on a distant Libyan shore, it was anything but. Men with guns slung over their shoulders led a human chain to the sand, eventually staining the surf with the blood of more than 30 Christians. It was a gruesome sequel to their last video, when Egypt's Coptic Christians, like these men, lay lifeless on the coast -- the victims of savage ISIS beheadings. "To the nation of the cross," the masked killers warn, "we are now back again."
